Book Review- Wicked Appetite

Not my image

This book is by one of my favorite authors. Well, she is lower on my favorites list these days,
but she does have some great, funny books and this happens to be one of them.
This is such an easy, fun read that I finished it in one day.
It's about a baker in Massachusetts who finds herself in the middle of some
supernatural chaos. From cursed objects to amateur witches, monkeys named Carl and a one-eyed
cat, I found myself laughing out loud several times.

If you've ever read any of her "in between" novels, youll know one of the main characters
in this book- A supernatural good guy named Diesel. He's pretty dreamy for a
fictional book character. I hope she comes out with more books about him.
If you're looking for a light, funny, chick book, this is a great choice,
even if you havent read any of her other books.

Rating: ***
Rating Scale
*****: Amazing, wonderful, MUST-read, loved it!
****: Really liked it, would recommend, great book!
***: Liked it, enjoyable, but not the greatest book ever written.
**: Not so great, some good parts, but overall, it was just ok.
*: Didnt like it, wouldnt recommend it, bad book all around.

I read all of the Stephanie Plum books through 13 or so, I think, and really enjoyed them. They just started to get a little formulaic for my taste. I agree though, Evanovich knows how to write funny ;)

I've never read anything by her but for years I've heard that she's great. This one seems right up my alley...a baker and supernatural chaos?? I'll have to give it a try. I'll look it up on my Nook!
