Book Review- Sizzling 16

Not my image
So remember my review from last week?
This book is by the same author, but not nearly as good.
It's number 16 in her most well known series about a bumbling New Jersey bounty
hunter named Stephanie Plum. This series was so good in the beginning. Laugh
out loud funny and endearing. Somewhere along the way though, (around book 10)
the author lost her way and the books all began to sound alike. The same things
happen over and over, without any progression and the story line has
become stagnant. I've been so disappointed with the last several books.
I believe the next in the series comes out this year and Im wondering how far she will
go with it. To 20, perhaps? Ill keep reading them, just to see if and how it all ends.
I know they are making this series into a movie starring Katherine Heigel.
Im not sure I would have chosen her for the lead, but I am curious enough to see the
movie.

Rating: **

I was the same way about her books! I read about the first 10 or so and then they just fizzled. Plus, there were all those "in between the numbers" books and I couldn't figure out where they fit in. I didn't want to read them out of order and spoil the "actual" books... but I didn't want to miss anything, either. Blargh. I just gave up!

If you like these books, you should read the Miss Julia series by Ann B Ross. Very light and laugh-out-loud funny!

She's usually such a great writer too - it's a shame when authors start out fabulously but then begin to write stuff that all seems the same.

Sheesh. Hollywood has run out of ideas. Why can't they get their own and stop turning books into movies???

I've also read a few of her books but I guess I've not gone as far as you to notice that her books have become dull and repetitive.

BTW, what's going on with the images on your blog? When I access it, they only display a photobucket sign that says "we're doing a little work right now, your image will be back soon"... I hope u are aware of this happening, cause even your mail image is gone.

Oh, good to know. Thanks. I was a fan in the beginning too, but they have sort of lost something along the way, haven't they? They just don't go anywhere anymore.
