We made it safely back to Germany this morning after a month back in the States. Our flight was delayed an hour and a half (of course), so it turned into a 24 hour travel day. UGH. Exhausting and it was a truly miserable 9.5 hr flight due to my inability to sleep on planes, my need to pee every 45 minutes and the screaming children across the aisle from us. Not to mention my aching back, the cramped space and crappy food. BUT, we're home and happy to be here. We had an absolutely fantastic time back in the States visiting family and friends, shopping, eating and relaxing. It was a much needed break from European living and the bitter cold we've been having. The highs here in Germany while we were gone were only in the 60s most days.
Ive got a ton of things to blog about and will be getting to them in the next couple of weeks, in between unpacking the ELEVEN bags that we brought back. Yes, eleven. It's almost all baby stuff from my shower and my mom and MIL. This little girl is so lucky and blessed already. It's going to take me a couple of weeks to unpack and organize it all. We also had several packages from Amazon waiting on us at home when we arrived- gifts from our registries. So much fun to open! It was like having a mini baby shower when we got home. So in between unpacking, organizing and cleaning, Ill try and find the time to tell you all about our trip, my shower and everything else.
Happy Fourth of July! Have a safe holiday!

Welcome back! I actually like the weather here thus far. It reminds me of northern california.
Have fun sorting through your gifts. I actually sent you an email about buying baby gear, I would love your input once you get rested up.
Ugh, I'm sorry you had such a bad travel experience :( But I'm glad you made it home and that you had such a great time in the States! I can't believe it's only been in the 60s there--yikes!!
